Guy Puts A GoPro In A Lathe. At 1800 RPM’s It Gets Gnarly.

Mr. Michal is a youtuber who creates strange but cool tech videos. He’s the guy who put a GoPro in a lathe all the way up to 1800 RPMs. Some of his other videos include a powerful mini-cannon that shoots 9mm bullets. He also shows how to create a simple drag race between different sized batteries using A, AA, and C batteries.

We will be doing a post soon on some of his other videos in the near future because they are awesome. So, about the 1800 RPMs on a GoPro. What good is a lathe if you can’t mess around with it and have a little fun? Whether that be placing a camera in it and spinning it as fast as possible, or using it to create a toy such as a mini-cannon.

This is exactly what Michal does. He uses his engineering expertise to create unusual things. Such as, placing a GoPro in a lathe. If you spin a compact disc too fast, it will literally explode from the force. I believe a GoPro may have the same effect but I am not an engineer. Regardless, when this thing reaches 1800 RPM’s it’s a little strange because you can almost make out what it sees.
